(as far as a girlfreind goes) why? well i see it, if we are not in a serious relationship why would i buy shit for someone who it wont matter in a few years. if i was in a serious relationship that lead to marriage. rather than it being “my money” and “her money” it would be “our money” and so if she wouldnt spend it on herself im not spending it on her. why would i? there are some exceptions but they involve gifts
