A few things to dispel. Just because you order from FTD or Telaflora doesn’t mean you will get flowers in a box. Most flower companies offer wire service where you can purchase the flowers online or in your city and have a local florist where the flowers are being delivered to deliver them, as opposed to DHL, UPS, etc. Also, flowers delivered by a florist invariably will look much better assuming you are using a good florist. As in any industry, there is good and bad plenty to go around.

I have always had good luck with pro flowers and the reason I send THEM to my mother instead of a florist is because in her location there is no local florist that delivers. I would find it very hard to feel “special” with flowers like that sitting on my desk.
